NextGen NTA Inc. is a technology startup transforming network traffic analysis through its patent-pending NextGen Network Traffic Analyzer (NGNTA) — a real-time, high-performance, session-based, packet-level network traffic analytics platform built to overcome the inherent limitations of traditional NetFlow-based analysis.

Traditional NetFlow-based tools provide valuable high-level flow information, but they lack the packet-level visibility and fidelity modern networks require. Sampling, limited protocol detail, incomplete TCP visibility, and the challenges of ingesting high-volume flow data make it difficult to accurately pinpoint performance and connectivity issues.

NGNTA closes that gap by analyzing live traffic with an innovative session-based, packet-level approach — delivering comprehensive, high-fidelity visibility without relying on flow sampling, and retaining that data with rich metadata for years, not days.

Liang Dong Chen

Founder & Technology Innovator · Senior Network Architect, Texas Children's Hospital

Liang Dong Chen is the founder and technology innovator behind the patent-pending NextGen Network Traffic Analyzer (NGNTA). He currently serves as a Senior Network Architect at Texas Children's Hospital and brings more than 28 years of experience in network engineering, architecture, troubleshooting, and traffic analytics.

Chen holds the Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification and three Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications — in Routing & Switching, Data Center, and Wireless — reflecting deep expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex enterprise network infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Chen has worked extensively with large-scale, mission-critical networks, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges of maintaining performance, reliability, and visibility at scale. That experience exposed the real limitations of traditional NetFlow-based traffic analysis — in visibility, sampling accuracy, packet-level detail, and long-term flow retention — and became the catalyst for NGNTA.

Drawing on decades of networking expertise, Chen developed NGNTA: a patent-pending, real-time, high-performance, session-based, packet-level network traffic analytics system built to deliver lossless, high-fidelity visibility into live network traffic.
